So, we're all stuck at home trying to help our kids with their homework and gaining a whole new appreciation for teachers. It's not always an easy job being a teacher! Why's There A Pinecone In The Shower?
This person put a pinecone in their shower. We have no idea what inspired this decision in the first place, but the results are pretty cool.
When the shower is running and the area fills up with steam, the pinecone closes itself up - and then, when the shower is dry again, it opens itself up into its normal state.
Max Out The Enjoyment
Most of us can appreciate a good bagel, but the surprisingly high caloric content in your typical bagel is enough to give pause.
Slicing a bagel into five slices isn't going to reduce the calories in the bagel as a whole - but it's still a good way to eat the bagel in increments. It also allows for even more toppings, depending how you're feeling.

Life Finds A Way
This is what happens when you leave a tree in a planter for too long. It will keep growing, but the roots will wrap around and around themselves until the tree dies.

This person was lucky enough to come across a little baby snail when they got home. If you notice, the snail's shell is see-through, which they are when a snail is still a baby.

This house is situated by the ocean. The saltwater is super corrosive and has ruined the outside handle and lock. It's wild to see the difference and how much nature has changed it.

This is a rough larimar stone before and after it's polished into a stone to make jewelry out of. This particular stone can only be found in the Dominican Republic, and you will never find two that look the same.

In case you needed a reminder of how big tornados can get, this is one coming toward a field of wind turbines. It absolutely dwarfs them! It's like they're made of toothpicks.
Technology Has Changed So Much
All those floppy disks in the bucket make up about 138.24MB. The person who posted this used those in about 1995. The USB on top of them was used in 2018 and held 128GB. It's neat to see how far we've come.

This woman is standing in front of a fully grown Sequoia tree. They grow to be gigantic with an average trunk diameter of 20–26 feet! Truly a tree that would make you feel tiny.
This Looks Fake
This is a cup of water, but what makes it interesting is that there are two types of water in this glass sitting on top of one another. The bottom is tap water and the top is sparkling.
There's Something You Don't See Every Day
This can and bottle are from over 20 years ago and were made by beer companies who wanted to donate resources that could be used after natural disasters or other emergencies.
That's A Lot Of Bees
This sort of confusing picture is a timelapse of a beehive. All those little dots are bees coming and going from their home to pollinate some flowers and make delicious honey.

This is a picture of a dryer sheet before and after it was used. It's good to see that those little sheets do a lot of hard work for us.

This picture was taken in Geneva at a spot where two rivers collide. It's the confluence of the Rhone and Arve rivers in Switzerland. The amount of silt in the one river is shocking.

The rug in front of this shop has been so well worn that you can barely see it anymore. Would you even be able to peel it off the ground anymore? Probably not.

You can see the difference between the number of left-handed and right-handed students in this high school by the door handles they choose to use and how worn down they are.
Can't Believe They're Both Tomatoes
The tomato on the left is a modern, everyday tomato that you'd find in a store. The one on the right is a tomato that was grown from 150-year-old seeds that were discovered.
Take A Good Close Look
Those aren't trees being lit up by the lightning, but positively charged ironic channels rising up from the ground. They were caused by the huge strike of lightning hitting the ground.
