Some kids are smarter than others. Sorry, it's just a fact of life. We can't all be geniuses. Some of us were born to live mediocre lives and some of us were born for greatness.
I'm pretty sure that all of the kids on this list were born for greatness. They may not be all that great now, but we're certain that they have a whole lot of potential. I mean, just look what they can do already.
A Thoughtful Card
This 11 year old made a card for her dad's birthday. I think it's a pretty thoughtful card, don't you?
I mean, it is true. I guess it's important to face your own mortality on the anniversary of your birth.
Serving The Country
This student was faced with an assignment in which he had to describe how he would serve America.
Well, you can't say that the kid wasn't brutally honest. This seems like a pretty heavy topic for kids this young.
Close Enough
We could sit here all day and analyze this piece of art, but here's the important thing: the face is clearly identifiable as Harry Potter, and the stick legs make it clear that this is a full-length portrait of the young wizard, even if he has no torso.
Everything else is really just a minor detail. In his own way, the four-year-old made this a perfect piece of art.
Some Truths, Some Lies
It's always equal parts adorable and horrifying to see what young kids truly think of their parents, and this assignment is a prime example.
While the kid who filled this out isn't right about everything, there are more than a few items here that likely hit close to home for their mom.
Sneaky Cheese
This kid had the brilliant idea to sneak some into her class by putting it in an empty tube of lip balm. This is some genius-level thinking.
I want to be on whatever level this kid is on.
Not Breaking Any Rules
This dad told his kid that tablets weren't allowed in the kitchen. This kid found a way around that rule.
Technically, this tablet is not in the kitchen. He did exactly as he was told.
Climbing The Fridge
This kid's mom told him that he couldn't have any more snacks before dinner, but did he let that stop him from getting what he wanted?
Absolutely not. This is a kid on a mission.
Watch The Baby
This dad told his kids to watch the baby while he made them all a snack.
Well, they figured out a way to keep the baby contained so that they could still keep their eyes on their cartoons.
Keeping It Cool
This kid was hungry, but his chicken nuggets were too hot to eat. He decided to cool them down by bringing out an industrial fan.
I guess it worked out pretty well.
A Worm
I am beyond impressed with the Lego creation that this 12-year-old put on display. I think it makes for great social commentary.
It's basically an art installation. It belongs in the MOMA or something.
What Rhymes With Truck?
This kid knew that a certain bad word rhymed with truck, but he didn't want to write it on a school assignment.
We all know what he means. He doesn't have to spell it out for us.
A Scary Prank
This kid decided to pull a prank on her dad by putting a paper cutout of a spider inside a lampshade.
Well, mission accomplished. She almost gave her dad a heart attack.
Hung Up The Clothes, Mom
This kid's mom did his laundry for him and then told him to hang up his clean clothes. Well, technically he did hang up the clothes.
He just didn't do it the way she wanted him to.
Keep The Earth Clean
We really should be taking better care of our planet. It's our kids who are going to have to pay the price of our poor environmental decisions.
This kid is on a mission to change the world.
Gloves For Socks
This kid forgot his shoes at his friend's house, so he decided to improvise with the articles of clothing that he actually had on hand...
Or should we say on feet.
