According to Reddit, it's used for weeding cracks and crevices—though it's not a very effective tool.

The person who posted this item described it as "two small rings held together by a thin chain," but it's actually much more than that.

This looks like a scaled-down mug, complete with a handle. What makes it so weird is the increments listed on the side, the strange ridges, and — of course — its diminutive size.
Redditors immediately identified it as a measuring cup used by an apothecary. The "min." notations likely stand for minims, a small unit of fluid measurement, rather than "minutes."
Someone Impaled The Sink
It's hard to imagine a good reason for the situation with this hotel bathroom countertop, where a conical metal shape is planted through a hole in the glass countertop.
This isn't a standard-issue object, either, and seems to be entirely unique to this one hotel. But eventually, the consensus was that the cone was a vase that had no flowers in when the photo was snapped.

Belonging to his grandfather, one user was told that these were old contact lenses but he was "skeptical."

Luckily Reddit had the answer for him, and it wasn't that his grandfather was some sort of serial killer. It's a Puzzle Box attachment for a sewing machine from the late 1800s.

There were a lot of questions about what this tool might be. A glass cutter? An optometrist's assistant? A can opener?
The final verdict is that it's a knife sharpener. Granted, not a very good one, but still a knife sharpener.

Someone gave this to one Reddit user's father more than 30 years ago. They think it might be a metal calculator but couldn't quite remember.
They remembered correctly! It's an Optima Circular Calculator, made in Germany in the early 1900s.
Well That Looks Dangerous
