Some people are out in the world trying their best, trying to get stuff done properly even if they're having an off day. The people on this list are not those people. They are not trying their best. Frankly, we're not even sure if they're trying at all.
Keep reading to see some people who failed in a major way. It's almost like we're able to pinpoint the exact moment that they completely gave up.
The Job Was Not Well Done
This guy had one job to do. He just had to put the fortune in the fortune cookie. One thing is for sure, this is not a job well done.
What Are We Teaching Our Children?
This book is supposed to teach children how to count, but whoever wrote and illustrated the books seems to have given up on numbers altogether. There are six bananas in that picture.
They Left Something Behind
The construction team that was working on this building left something behind. Now there's a tape measure permanently embedded into the side of this concrete block. How did this happen?
Obey The Sign
How is anybody supposed to obey the sign if they can't read the sign? Wasn't there somewhere else they could have placed this sticker? Like on its own sign? Major fail.
Another Sign Mistake
This speed limit sign isn't covered up, but it is in the middle of a sidewalk. This sign is supposed to promote safety, but what about the safety of pedestrians who could walk right into it?
Six Feet Apart
These squares of tape on the ground are supposed to help customers stand six feet apart, but I think those squares are actually less than a foot from each other.
Who Needs A Mask?
These guys went outside to paint their bike frame so that they could have some more ventilation, but neither one of them is wearing a mask and one of them is getting paint all over his arms.
There Was An Attempt
Someone tried to turn this two-dimensional Paw Patrol character into a three-dimensional stuffed toy, but it didn't turn out too well. This dog looks like he's been in some sort of accident.
A Sad Excuse For A Nest
This pigeon was supposed to make a nest for her egg, but it looks like she really phoned this one in. That's just a couple of sticks on a jute welcome mat.
His Eyes Are On Backwards
Somebody sewed Elmo's eyes on the wrong way, and now he looks like the stuff that horror movies are made out of. We're really not okay with this little mistake.
Time For "Scohol"
You'd think that because this sign was created for an educational institution, it might just reflect the level of learning that was going on inside the building. Let's hope the kids in the school are learning how to spell.
Editing Matters
Somebody put some filler text on the front page of this newspaper, and then it never got edited out or replaced with whatever was supposed to go there. Maybe this is why people are losing faith in the press...
Where's The Little Sister?
Look, they can't both be the big sister. If one sister is the big sister, then the other one has to be the little sister. It's just how time works.
The Worst Basketball Court
Who do you think messed up here, the person who painted the lines on the court, or the person who installed the basketball net? It probably wasn't the same person, right?
No Engraving, Please
This guy just wanted to enjoy his plaque with no engraving on it whatsoever, and this is what he got instead. Well, this is definitely not what he asked for.
The Wrong Maple Leaf
This kid wanted a Maple Leafs cake for his 8th birthday. In other words, he wanted a cake with the logo of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team on it. This bakery gave him the logo for a meat company instead.
Joy To The World
You're supposed to spread joy on Christmas, not "yoj." I don't even know what "yoj" is. I mean, I guess these people can see the word the right way around as they step out of their front door...
Hold Onto The Railing
Whoever built this pillar somehow managed to use it to swallow up this railing. I can't imagine that the pillar was there first and that the railing went right through it. That wouldn't make much sense.
That Looks Dangerous
First of all, this whole playground looks like it's on its last legs. None of this equipment looks very stable. Also, why does the slide double as a chute to send kids into the underworld?
That's Not Fixed
This person sent their rocking chair to a furniture repair shop to have it refinished, and when they got it back, this is what it looked like. Are you just supposed to rock from side to side?
What's It For Then?
This wood chopping board has a sticker on it that says you're not supposed to use it as a chopping board. So what are you supposed to use it as then?
What Did The Onions Do?
Clearly, this sandwich label is supposed to say "caramelized onions," but someone just let the spellcheck do its thing without double-checking it. This is why editors are important. What did the onions ever do to anybody?
Don't Eat Kids, Please
This sign is supposed to say that kids still eat for free, but someone messed up, and now it implies that the people at the restaurant eat children free of charge.
An Extra Surprise
This pizza place didn't just leave their pizza cutter in this box of pizza. It looks like the cutter is baked right into the pie. How did they not notice when they put it into the oven or when they took it out?
That Doesn't Even Rhyme
Okay, it's either "see you later, alligator" or "in a while, crocodile." It can't be both and it can't be a warped combination of the two. The whole point is that it's supposed to rhyme!
Someone Messed Up
How is anybody supposed to use this sink? As soon as you turn it on, water is just going to go flying everywhere. How does one even fix this situation? I guess they could just flip the inner part of the sink around.
That's Not Even Purple
Okay, when this person asked for a cake with "thanks for a great year" written on it in purple, they just meant that they wanted the icing to be purple.
That's Not One Day
This sign says that the bridge will be closed for one day, and then it goes on to list several days through which the bridge will not be operational. So which is it?
Not A Great Place To Sit
Somebody installed this park bench right underneath a water spout that is constantly, well, spouting water. Now nobody can sit here unless they want to get soaked. This was some poor planning.
Those Are Called Bananas
This grocery store decided to list their bananas as "long yellow things." Did this person just forget the word for bananas and gather that a vague description of the produce would be good enough?
