Photos where the background is the most interesting part

Pictures are worth a thousand words. But every story comes with a little something going on in the background of the picture. You should always check what's going on behind you before you pose for a photo. Otherwise, you might end up on Judge Judy with a celebrity sitting right behind you or someone planking in your sister's wedding photo. These funny photos are exactly why you need to be careful out there.

Leaning Tower Of Butts

A typical day at the Leaning Tower. The guy in the back is the hero we need but don't deserve. He's just there for the support so the lady doesn't fall flat on her butt. Not all heroes need to wear capes in the real world.

What is it with tourists all doing this same exact pose when visiting this site, by the way? Not only did the man in the background save the woman from falling but he made the photo a lot less boring.

Baseball fans, here are two things you should know. First, don't EVER jump onto the field the second your team is headed to the World Series. Secondly, security will be all over you. In fairness, the fan is just psyched about the Astros playoff run after all the city went through.

Professional sports should basically issue instruction manuals to all fans who decide to attend games. And injury disclaimers because people are gonna get hurt.

Speaking of popular book characters, this guy has come a long way since his line of books. Yes, that's right, it's Harry Potter's ultimate arch-rival! You might notice he's picked up a new hobby.

Wait, I thought Voldemort was dead? Nope, apparently, he came back from the dead just so he could go hit up the park to get some much-needed color on his pasty white skin. He'll look so different with a tan.

Tears Of Fear

Try to figure which one will give you the giggles. The girl in the back who's crying because she doesn't want to go home, or the ostrich eating a snack or the llama just chilling in the back.

Altogether, there's more than one thing to laugh about in this picture. Our favorite part is the goofy look on the ostrich's messy face as he intimidates the people in the car.

This nice family was just trying to take a picture to commemorate their trip at what looks like Mount Rushmore. Apparently, some other family members in the back weren't having such a good time.

That little boy in the back, off to the right, must have really done something wrong for his sister to take it to this extreme. We can't help but wonder what it is that he did.

It takes a minute to spot it, but when you do... lol. The person sharing the photo even admitted that they had it hanging on their fridge for years before they noticed the sneaky addition.

This is like Where's Waldo but with more variety. It gets old searching for that same red-and-white-striped shirt after about 700 times, but spotting people and animals in the background of photos is something we could do forever.

While these two cops probably knew they were posing for a selfie with a police horse, they couldn't have known that the animal was going to ham it up in the background like this! Look at that giant, toothy grin.

When Redditor OceanGoingSoul posted this, one person had an important question that many of us probably didn't notice. "Why is the focus point on the back of the saddle? How did the camera determine that?" It's almost like they weren't impressed by the amazing horsey photobomb.

Oh no! As one Redditor commented, "Elmo looks like he just caught his husband cheating." The way he's standing there just holding his stocking like that, it really does appear that the beloved character is shocked that someone would leave him out of a selfie.

Well, we've all heard the stories and rumors about those costumed Times Square characters. Hopefully, this is just part of Elmo's ruse to increase photo sales.

Most have us have been there. You're sitting in a class that seems to go on forever, with the teacher just droning away. Your eyelids start to get heavy and you catch yourself dozing off a few times before you just give in to that sweet, sweet sleep.

In this case, there are two people who were bored enough to nap during class. Even better, the person who posted the photo of the cozy culprits wrote, "I'm pretty sure they don't even know each other."

By the expression on this little fishy face, it seems that our orange friend has indeed seen the giant figure looming just over his bowl. He appears terrified, and rightly so.

That cat is wearing one of the most sinister looks that we've ever seen on a kitty. Hopefully, it was just a weird moment captured on camera and the cat doesn't actually have any malicious intentions toward the goldfish.

This is one of the sweetest entries on our list. When Redditor Philchil23 posted the photo, they shared this background info. "Took a picture of a man and daughter at a coffee shop to show them what they would look like in 10 years."

One father-daughter duo saw another, younger, father-daughter duo out in a Starbucks and decided to recreate their positions. We don't know about you, but this is pretty cool and we hope the people in the foreground were pleasantly surprised by the funny and thoughtful photobomb.

Well, this person might just have the privilege of being the parent of the two vainest children around. It's bad enough that the daughter is hugging a photo frame she found at the store because she thought it was a picture of herself.

As Trampolice wrote, "My daughter thought this was her. Bonus: My son in the background." And there he is, just admiring and smooching his own reflection in a full-length mirror.

If that's a cheerleading practice session going on in the background, then we think they might need to start out working on a softer surface and with a helmet. This looks like a stunt gone wrong... very wrong.

One commentator had a guess as to what's really going on back there. "Shovel Simulator 2014," they wrote. It kind of does look like he's using her as a garden tool. We just hope no one was hurt in this bizarre and hilarious scene!
