People who couldn’t hide their mistakes even if they wanted to

Doing something wrong in front of others can get embarrassing. We can't all be perfect, so the hiccups are funny or learning experiences. The following people messed up in obvious ways, and you can bet they had red faces.

But of course, an incident that's a little embarrassing for them can also be pretty funny for everyone else. As long as anyone doesn't take it too far, those embarrassing moments can be a good chance to laugh at ourselves.

They Were Supposed To Be Bikers...

The woman understood the assignment, but the man did not. He looks ready for a marathon. I'm sure the others at the party got a good laugh from this mistake.

That said, it's pretty wholesome that this was the first place the guy's mind went when he heard the word, "biker." The word he was looking for was "cyclist," which isn't really a type to get in much trouble outside of Tour de France doping scandals.

It would be one thing if there was some confusion as to whether to go on "three" or if the third count was supposed to come before the word "go," but it doesn't look like this girl was anywhere near three when she started. Hopefully, this isn't a race because that's some head start.

Anyone who's ever worn a mascot suit knows how hot those things get and how quickly they can get that hot. At least it seems like a fairly cool day. It's a lot harder to be the most fun dad on the block when you pass out in your costume.

When they said pirates, they meant Jack Sparrow. This man thought it was open to any pirate. If he wanted to be a baseball player instead, he should've said something to someone.

That said, this man must be a true fan because most people aren't going to think of Pittsburgh when they think of pirates. That's probably even true of baseball fans, as the Pirates haven't won a World Series since 1979 and haven't earned any division titles since 1992.

It's especially bad if nobody is even supposed to sit in front of the first window. This definitely seems like something they only realized they messed up right as the customer was about to arrive. Life really is like a sitcom at times.

This just has to hurt your brain, right? These escalators might give someone a seizure trying to read the words on them. How do you mess up like this?

It's one thing to finish a job, only to realize you've done it all wrong. However, it's quite another matter to clearly never read what you were supposed to write on this escalator. It looks like they thought they just needed to write "stand right" and panicked all over the upper steps when they realized they were wrong.

Yet, even if the order is worthy of an eye-roll, that doesn't make one worker's omission of any of the meat any less of a blunder. Worse yet, they left the part the customer wanted to get rid of. Even Ed from Good Burger was better at following directions when he made this mistake.

Sometimes, it's hard to recognize the typos we make until our spellcheckers catch them. So, when there isn't a red line running underneath our mistakes, the chances are much better that we won't catch them until it's too late.

However, that doesn't mean it's not still a little embarrassing when there are only three words in large letters, and somebody still manages to spell one of them wrong. At least it was just the "and," though. This romantic gesture would have lost a lot if the person misspelled their partner's name.

Honestly, it's pretty clear from the context that they meant "inaugural." That said, even if somebody were to guess by sounding the word out, they're not going to come up with a word that looks anything like "ignagurial."
